As Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025 gets underway, we can look forward to the annual tradition of mega-high-profile unveilings from heavy-hitting brands throughout the industry. What none of us were expecting, however, is for one of Patek Philippe’s most dramatic Watches and Wonders releases to be not a watch but a reimagining of a century-old desk clock. Around the 6 o’clock side of the dial lies a recessed, perlage-adorned suite of pushers that would look more at home on a high-end stereo system or a classic Bentley than on a watch. This set of five labeled pushers, however, allows for easy correction (from left to right) of the weeks, days, moonphase, month and year indicators, and the date display. Given that setting and correcting grand complication timepieces like these can often be a job that literally requires professional help, this is a much more livable arrangement.
The dial itself is pure traditional Patek, with a warm silver opaline surface, railroad scales throughout, and ornately embellished fine details. The main timekeeping subdial is located at 12 o’clock, counterbalanced by the combination moonphase and pointer date subdial at 6 o’clock. The long, prominent central jump seconds needle hand is coupled to a diminutive power reserve indicator, while the outer seconds scale is surrounded by a pointer week scale with a distinctive box-like red hand. The day and month flank both sides of the central hand stack at 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock, while the leap year indicator at 4:30 and the day/night indicator at 7:30 complete the design. Taken as a whole, the Swiss fake watches exquisitely balanced in images, with a charmingly intricate look that screams old-school luxury.

Amid the bustle and pomp of Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025, it’s the unexpected releases that sometimes impress us most. With gloriously ornate finishing, elegant traditional styling, and a mind-bending grand complication, it’s difficult not to be impressed by the top replica Patek Philippe watches ref. 27000M-001.
